چکیده
Recent studies have highlighted the existence of a gap between actual and perceived safety shown that feelings insecurity can affect individuals’ travel behavior before during journey. In this paper, methodology is proposed for assessing determinants travelers’ perception security in railway stations. The methodological approach includes focus groups, stated preference (SP) surveys, estimation behavioral models with fixed parameters (Binomial Logit) random (Mixed Logit). results medium-sized station (Frosinone, Italy) confirmed measures are not equally by individuals use random-parameters leads to more robust estimates. modeling allows identification interventions should be prioritized increase levels safety, highlighting those factors, such as, considered case study, presence personnel level decorum maintenance, which users as important than others (e.g., surveillance cameras).

Improving Customer Proximity to Railway Stations
We consider problems of (new) station placement along (existing) railway tracks, so as to increase the number of users. We prove that, in spite of the NP-hardness for the general version, some interesting cases can be solved exactly by a suitable dynamic programming approach. For variants in which we also take into account existing connections between cities and railway tracks (streets, buses, ...

Insufficient sleep is associated with cardiometabolic disease and poor health. However, few studies have assessed its determinants in a nationally representative sample. Data from the 2009 behavioral risk factor surveillance system were used (N = 323,047 adults). Insufficient sleep was assessed as insufficient rest/sleep over 30 days. This was evaluated relative to sociodemographics (age, sex, ...
